ST. JOHNSVILLIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Several fire crews worked to put out a multiple-structure fire on Hough Street in St. Johnsville around 11 p.m. Monday. No injuries were reported as a result of the blaze.

St. Johnsonville Volunteer firefighters responded to a garage fire attached to a house, a storage structure nearby, and a neighboring residence. Additional aid from the Oppenheim Fire Department, Ft. Plain Fire Department, and the City of Little Falls Fire Department were requested.

The St. Johnsonville Volunteer Fire Department and Ft. Plain Fire Department tackled the interior of the primary house, Little Falls City Fire worked on the storage structure, with the Oppenheim fire department tackling the secondary residence. The Montgomery County Department of Public Works also responded with a mini-excavator to help assist.

All units were cleared after nearly seven hours of work close to 6 a.m. Tuesday morning. A National Grid lineman in St. Johnsville noticed the smoke and went to the scene. His response and securing electrical services to both residences involved helped assist in the entire process.
