COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The man accused of leaving a camera in the bathroom of the Starbucks on Wolf Road pleaded not guilty.

Jonathan Waters is currently charged with Unlawful Surveillance. He appeared in Colonie Town Court on Monday after turning himself in.

Police, however, believe there could be more victims after devices found in Waters’s home indicated there could be cameras in other locations. Those devices are now being examined at the state police lab.

“We certainly do have some fears that there may be other cases where he did this,” Colonie Police Lt. Bob Winn said. “So there could be other stores or places where he did this and victims who may have been videotaped without their knowledge.”

Guilderland resident, Lisa DiCocco, was visibly upset when she heard the news.

“It’s scary,” she said. “I mean, you can’t control who uses a public restroom.”

She said she will now think twice when using one.

“That crosses a level of privacy that is just very disturbing,” she said.

In the meantime, Waters is being held in jail on $30,000 bail. A date has not been set for his appearance in Albany County Court.

Police said a camera was found in Crossgates Mall. They are working to determine if it belongs to Waters.
