More than 90 teenagers attended a breakfast and panel of speakers discussing personal stories of how opioids have impacted their lives.
The event, held at Empire State Plaza’s Albany Room, was hosted by the Albany County District Attorney David Soares and the Capital District YMCA.
Teens who atttended are part of the Capital District YMCA Black and Latino Achievers Program.
The event, in conjunction with Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, served as an opportunity to “answer Dr. King’s call to be of service and help foster a better future for everyone.”
