Local students learn about vascular disease for V-Healthy Day

News

Troy High School is one of 19 schools participating in V-Healthy Day, a program exclusive to the Capital Region.

Created by the Center for Vascular Awareness, the day involves hands-on workshops and patient stories to educate students about the importance of heart health.

From checking blood pressure to role-playing medical scenarios, the goal is to bring awareness to students not only about the importance of vascular health, but the repercussions of not taking care of your body.

The team behind V-Healthy Day have plans of expanding nationally so students in every state can be educated on vascular health.
