A lawsuit filed against Union college accuses high-ranking school officials of failing to properly investigate an alleged rape case.
The unidentified plaintiff says she was a first-year student at the Schenectady school when a senior on the men’s soccer team brought her back to his apartment and raped her while she was incapacitated by alcohol and drugs.
According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff went to the college’s Title IX coordinator the next day, who failed to properly document the allegation.
Once it was officially recorded, several months later, the plaintiff says the investigation was mishandled by multiple school officials.
