Residents in Cohoes are without water Monday morning after yet another water main break.
The break occurred Monday morning on Western Avenue in the area of James Street. The break has affected water service to the areas around, but not limited to James Street, Jefferson Ave, Western Ave, all of Brighton Point, Grandview Ave, and Grandview Terrace.
Residents in the affected areas may have little to no water pressure until the break is fixed. They may also see their water slightly discolored. The Mayor’s office says the discoloration is normal and not harmful, but recommends putting off washing any light-colored laundry until after your water has returned to normal.
