VT to increase minimum wage in 2020


MONTPELIER, Vt. (NEWS10) — People who work in Vermont are getting a boost in pay.

The state will increase minimum wage by 18 cents starting on January 1, 2020 going from $10.78 an hour to $10.96.

The adjustment also impacts the minimum wage of tipped workers. They get 50 percent of the full minimum wage bringing those employees to $5.48 per hour.
