Troy Police are currently investigating a stabbing on Congress Street early Monday night. One man has been hospitalized.
Police say a man in his late 20s was stabbed on Congress Street between 2nd and 3rd Streets after an altercation between himself and another man. The victim was taken to the hospital.
The stabbing is still under investigation. Police have not made any arrests or released any information regarding a suspect.
The Troy PBA President Nicholas Laviano released a statement Monday criticizing the city’s surveillance cameras.
“A man was stabbed near Third and Congress St. and what do you know, the city’s surveillance cameras are not working to assist officers investigating the crime. As a police officer but more importantly as a tax payer this is unacceptable. What are my taxes and garbage fees actually going to?”
