Ticonderoga Police and State Police are actively searching for a person of interest in a homicide investigation that has already arrested two Ticonderoga men.
Authorities have identified Michael E. LaRock, 38, of Ticonderoga, as a suspect that is wanted for questioning in connection with the homicide.
LaRock was last seen on December 14, 2018, around 3:33 p.m. at the Speedway gas station located at 935 State Route 37 in Hogansburg, NY.
LaRock was wearing dark blue jeans, a red shirt, with a black zip-up jacket and gray sneakers with white soles. He is described as being 5’8”, 160 lbs, with brown eyes and brown hair.
He is a convicted felon with previous arrests for possession of weapons, narcotics, stolen property, burglary, assault, and DWI. Michael Larock should be considered armed and dangerous.
Two suspects have already been arrested: Joshua W. Smith, 35, and Donald C. LaRock, 63, both of Ticonderoga.
The Ticonderoga PD responded to the area of Bicentennial Park for a suspicious vehicle Friday morning.
Police located the vehicle, a 2014 Volkswagon Jetta, and found tracks that led to the LaChute River.
A male victim, identified as William T. Brown, 37, of Ticonderoga, deceased in the water.
The victim was taken to Albany Medical Center for an autopsy, where the cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound to the head. The manner of death was determined to be homicide.
Joshua W. Smith and Donald C. LaRock were charged with one count each of Hindering Prosecution 1st degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Concealment of a Human Corpse.
Smith and LaRock have been arraigned in Ticonderoga Town Court and each were remanded to the Essex County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail, or $50,000 bond.
Donald LaRock is the father of Michael LaRock.
