ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Residents traveling to downtown Albany this week should be aware of construction beginning on South Pearl Street Tuesday which will bring significant road closures, detours and delays.
Construction begins at 6:00 a.m. Tuesday morning and will continue through Thursday. City crews will be paving South Pearl Street between Madison Avenue and State Street.
Detours will be posted and flag-workers will be in place to control traffic in the area. Aditionally, parking will be prohibited on both sides of S. Pearl Street between Madison Avenue and State Street beginning Tuesday, May 21 at 6 a.m. through Thursday, May 23 at 6 a.m..
Crews will remain in the area after Thursday to continue work on sidewalks and crosswalks.
