A man who says his Elton John tickets were stolen from him online will now get to go to the show. NEWS10 ABC got word that Ticketmaster reinstated his original tickets, and he will get to sit with his family for the show.
It’s a cautionary tale to protect your information online.
Daniel Lange says he purchased five tickets more than a year ago, but when he tried to print them earlier this week, he could only get three. He says when he contacted Ticketmaster they told him the tickets had been sold to a third party vendor—which Lange says was done fraudulently.
Representatives with the Better Business Bureau say it’s important to run your virus scans and create strong passwords to protect your online information.
If you do find yourself the victim of an online scam or theft, you can file a police report with your local State Police barracks, contact the Better Business Bureau, and file a report on IC3.gov.
