Students pledge against drinking and driving ahead of prom

ROTTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Arrive Alive pledge is spearheaded by Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara. It’s asking prom-goers not to drink and drive ahead of the big day, but if they do, to reach out for help.

Students from 10 Capital Region schools are signing the pledge.

“The message to parents is make sure that you’re checking your kids and that you know where they are. And for the students, make sure that you have a plan and make sure you understand there are people that will help you out of the situation,” said Monohansen Senior High School Principal Kevin Warren.
