The State of Emergency declared in Albany County effective at 11:00 A.M. on January 19, 2019 is being rescinded effective at 12:00 P.M. on January 21, 2019.

This State of Emergency was declared due to a major weather event with the possibility of heavy falling and drifting snow, sustained high winds, widespread power outages, and dangerous road conditions that may pose a threat to public safety.

“I urge everyone to be aware that blowing and drifting snow continue and our DPW crews will clear as needed,” said Albany County Executive McCoy.  “I want to thank our DPW crews for their tremendous work over the past several days and advise anyone heading out to dress warmly due to the extremely cold temperatures.”
