State education department giving millions to local libraries


ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The New York State Department of Education is giving more than $3 million to Capital Region libraries.

The department announced $34 million for around 250 public library construction projects statewide.

It will support updated electrical wiring, computer technology, and improve broadband infrastructure to best serve the children, families and adults who visit every day.
