State cracking down on limousine regulations

The state is cracking down on illegal vehicles on the road, specifically limousines. This all coming after the deadly accident in Schoharie in October.

David Brown is the president and CEO of Premiere Transportation in Albany says the state and the NTSB have even asked companies like Premiere to help them out, and let them know if they see illegal vehicles on the roads. Brown says some of those dangerous vehicles could even be here in the Capital Region.

State Police confirm they seized license plates of nearly 60 vehicles owned by limo companies last year all with suspended registrations.

The state Department of Transportation saying:

“As it has done previously in the wake of tragic incidents involving irresponsible businesses that flout the law, the state is acting affirmatively to crack down on bad actors who put innocent New Yorkers in danger.” 

Brown says those looking to hire limos, party busses, or other fleet vehicles are asking a lot more questions now.
