A safety app built in memory of a young man who lost his life in a tragic snowmobile accident is now live.

The app called “Send It HDR III” was created in memory of Henry D. Ross III of Mayfield who died back in December of 2016.

The app, which launched on Saturday, will allow snowmobile riders to mark possible safety hazards, including thin ice and debris.

The app then alerts other users when they approach the marked hazards.

“Send It HDR III” was made possible thanks to the fundraising efforts of the Henry D Ross III Memorial fund and with support of the community.

It is available on the Apple Store and for Android devices.
