Schenectady officials warn of possible flooding in the Stockades due to ice jams

Schenectady officials are warning Stockade neighborhood residents of possible flooding along the Mohawk River due to ice jams.

Residents should prepare themselves for flooding and be ready to evacuate if necessary.

River levels are currently being monitored by Schenectady Police, Fire and Schenectady County Office of Emergency Management.

Residents who have an unlisted landline or cellular phone number are encouraged to utilize the Schenectady County Emergency rapid notification call system for updated information. Registration can be completed on-line at: http://www.schenectadycounty.com/rapidnotify. Listed numbers will be notified automatically.
