Schenectady County announces massive solar energy project


Schenectady County officials announced the largest and most ambitious municipal solar project in New York. 

The county will be partnering with General Electric to build a network of solar farms that could save the county millions.

Officials say the solar farms will save taxpayers $1.5 million a year and $45 million over 25 years.
