Friday night, Schenectady City Hall’s clock tower will light up orange for National Gun Violence Awareness.
The city saw a fatal homicide earlier this year that’s still unsolved. Before that, it hadn’t seen a fatal shooting in almost a year-and-a-half.
While gun-homicide is sparse, gun-violence isn’t. Sergeant Nick Mannix with the Schenectady Police Department says he’s seen an uptick in gun crime.
