Two Berkshire County medical marijuana businesses got final approval Thursday from the Cannabis Control Commission to sell recreational cannabis.
Temescal Wellness in Pittsfield and Theory Wellness in Great Barrington will be able to sell to adults 21 and over likely by next month.
The two businesses have to take a few final steps to prepare for recreational sales before opening their doors to non-medical users.
Both will bring on extra employees to handle increased traffic.
Customers will pay 20 percent of taxes on each purchase with three percent going to the local city.
