Proposed bill would allow parole hearing for certain inmates

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)–A bill being brought up in both the Assembly and Senate would allow a parole hearing for certain inmates based on age and time served.

The bill would give hearings to inmates 55-years-old or older who have already served 15 years of their sentence. This bill would not require release or immedietly give it.

Assemblymembers on both sides of the aisle spoke out about the bill.
