Police: Skeletal remains discovered in Columbia County are historical


STUYVESANT, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office says the remains found on private property in Stuyvesant last weekend are historical in nature.

The remains were identified as being human by anthropologists from the New York State Musuem. 

While the investigation is ongoing, the property is no longer considered a crime scene.

The remains have been brought to the New York State Museum for further analysis.
