Police: Needles and pins found in Halloween candy

Gloversville Police say they have received several reports of candy have needles and pins in them.

Individuals who made the reports stated they were trick-or-treating in the area of Kingsboro Ave., from First Ave., north to Sixth Ave.

Parents are encouraged to closely inspect any candy that was collected while trick-or-treating Wednesday.

The type of candy the needles and pins were found in have been varied.

On Wednesday, there were also reports of candy in Hoosick Falls having needles in them.

Anyone who discovers an item in their candy is asked to contact the Gloversville Police Department at (518)-773-4506.
