Police: Man injured after crashing into stopped school bus


Police responded to a car crash involving a school bus on Route 22, just south of Lackawanna Road, Wednesday morning. 

Police say Jeremy Cianciosi, 34, was driving northbound when he struck the back of a stopped school bus. The school bus was stopped to pick up students and at the time of the crash, the red lights were flashing on the bus. 

Cianciosi sustained injuries to his face, mouth, and hand. He was transported to Albany Medical Center by Community Rescue Squad.

At the time of the crash, police say there were 15 students, one Taconic Hills School staff member, and the bus driver at the time of the crash.

Police say students were not injured and all occupants were transferred to another bus.
