ADAMS, Mass. (NEWS10) — A World War I memorial was vandalized over the weekend in Berkshire County.
Adams Police say several spotlights were ripped from the ground and broken at Memorial Park on Columbia Street.
On their Facebook page, police are calling the vandalism a “senseless act.”
Officers say it appears an individual walked from the bike path, destroyed the lights, and then continued walking on Columbia Street, based on footprints from recently fallen snow.
Many in the community are outraged about what happened.
