Police find body of missing Schenectady man in VT lake

POULTNEY, Vt. (NEWS10) - Vermont State Police say the body of a missing Schenectady man was found in Lake St. Catherine on Friday.

Police say divers recovered the body of Thomas Flood, 61, by using sonar in about 50 feet of water.

Flood and his wife were boating on the lake. The two were trying to get into their inner tubes that were tethered to the boat when Flood fell into the water.

Their boat started drifting away. Due to the choppy water, Flood was not able to swim back.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
