Party-goers forced to hand over Build-A-Bear creations to birthday girl

A mother took to Reddit after her daughter went to a friend’s birthday party and was forced to give up her Build-A-Bear.

The post said that the children each made a Build-A-Bear at the party, but were not allowed to keep the stuffed animals they made.  Instead, they were told by the birthday girl’s mother to hand them over to her daughter.

The party was not held by the employees of Build-A-Bear, but the poster pitched in $30 as she assumed her daughter would be able to keep her stuffed animal.

Each kid was understandably upset, but reluctantly handed them over.  However, when one boy refused, the birthday girl “ripped it out of his hands.”

When asked about the situation, the poster claimed that the birthday girl’s mother said that they did not have enough money for each party-goer to create their own stuffed animal, but wanted her daughter to have a bear created by each of her friends.
