OGS needs trees to display at Capitol over the holidays

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) - There’s a need in New York State for trees.

The Officer of General Services is looking for two trees that will be displayed this holiday season.

They’re looking specifically for spruce trees between 35 and 55 feet tall. The tree will be removed at no expense to the property owner.

One tree will be placed at East Capitol Park. The other tree will be on display on the south side of the Capitol on the Empire State Plaza near the skating rink.

Both trees will be lit as part of New York’s Tree Lighting and Fireworks event at the Plaza.

If you have a tree you would like to be considered, contact Kevin Ciampi at OGS by calling (518) 474-8860 or emailing Kevin.Ciampi@ogs.ny.gov. Include your name, address where the tree is located, and a contact phone number. Include a picture of the tree if one is available.
