New York State Police arrested a man they say fled after fleeing a crash near the Empire State Plaza tunnel on Monday.

Police say Kareem Brown, 28, of East Greenbush, was observed by a trooper going 102 MPH in a posted 30 MPH zone on the I-787 ramp into the Empire State Plaza.

After an investigation, police say Brown did not have permission to use the vehicle and did not possess a valid driver’s license.

Brown was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and numerous traffic violations.

He was arraigned and was released after posting $5,000 bond.

Brown is due back in court later this month.
