HUDSON FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A man acccused of kidnapping a 12-year-old Hudson Falls girl was sentenced on Friday.
George Torres, of Staten Island, pleaded guilty in April to taking Malaya Johnson to New York City in September 2018. The kidnapping triggered a statewide Amber Alert.
Torres apologized in court on Friday to Johnson's family and everyone involved.
He will spend 9.5 years in prison.
