A state agency has alleged neglect against a local rehab center after a resident was found dead last winter.
In January 2018, Raolik Walls was found dead in his room at the Hudson Mohawk Recovery Center in Troy. It had been nearly 40 days since his family heard from him. The center told them he had packed his bags and left.
Wednesday, the New York State Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs released a letter stating the center failed to provide proper supervision and alleged abuse and neglect in the case.
Walls’s family said they plan to file a lawsuit.
