New super computer goes online at RPI

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — In November, RPI’s newest super computer, AiMOS, came online.

It’s the most powerful computer at a private institution and the 24th most powerful computer in the world.

AiMOS operates at eight petaflops, which is equivalent to each person on the planet doing one million calculations per second.
