SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Kirsh Helmets use a new gel filled design with a hard shell to protect motorcycle rides from not only liner hits but the much more common rotational blows.
These hits to the head come in at angle that traditional helmets are not designed to handle, Kirsh Helmets CEO Jason Kirshon said.
Kirsh Helmets is a local company manufacturing all its parts for the helmet within 50 miles of the Capital Region.
They employ many disabled veterans and hope to expand their work force when the helmet goes into production after testing with the Department of Transportation is finished.
