New indictments name members of NXIVM inner circle as defendants.  Leader Keith Raniere is listed along with Allison Mack, Clare Bronfman, Kathy Russell, Lauren Salzman, and Nancy Salzman.

More arrests and a superseding federal indictment have been handed down in the NXIVM case. Documents say members of Keith Raniere’s “inner circle” are now also facing charges.

Raniere and Smallville actress Allison Mack, who previously faced a federal indictment, are now joined by Nancy Salzman, the co-founder of NXIVM, Salzman’s daughter Lauren Salzman, Clare Bronfman, who is said to be the financial backer of the entire operation, and Kathy Russell, who is described in the new documents as NXIVM’s bookkeeper.

This “inner circle” is now facing federal charges of conspiracy, identity theft, money laundering, sex trafficking, extortion and more. In total, the group is facing dozens of new charges.

The Salzmans and Russell appeared in the Northern District Federal Court Tuesday afternoon. The Salzman’s bail was set at $5 million. Both are scheduled to appear at the hearing in Brooklyn on Wednesday.

Russell’s bail was set at $25,000. She is waiting an identity hearing on Friday in Albany.
