New developments in the proposition for an Amazon distribution warehouse in Schodack.
A group of concerned citizens has now filed an official lawsuit against the Town Planning Board and the developers.
The Birchwood Association is a group of neighbors who live near the proposed build site.
The suit alleges the Planning Board made several violations–the most severe being issues concerning the environmental impacts of the project. The lawsuit claims the developers, Scannell Properties, would be allowed to discharge waste from truck loading docks right into a protected aquifer. Further, the lawsuit claims the Planning Board granted site approval to scannel and violated the town zoning code.
Town Supervisor Dave Harris says they were served the papers about a week ago and turned it over to town attorneys who will handle everything that needs done.
