SCOTIA, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Crews responded to a near drowning at Collins Park in Scotia Tuesday afternoon.
The Scotia Fire Department says a man in his 30s swam out about 150 feet and couldn’t make it back. A female family jumped in to try and rescue the man.
Once the man was brought back to shore, CPR was started and was revived.
Officials say swimming is not allowed in Collins Lake and hasn’t been for several years.
