National Grid Foundation gives $120,000 to help residents with energy costs

More relief coming to Capital Region residents struggling to keep up with raising energy bills.

In a press conference Monday, National Grid Foundation presented another grant to Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albant to provide emergency assistance to individuals and families in the area.

The grant of $120,000 is estimated to help 550 households with heating or energy assistance in 14 counties served by the Catholic Charities.

Additionally, Catholic Charities and National Grid Foundation officials announced a challenge to the community to donate to assist those in need with contributions to the emergency energy assistance fund.

This is the 11th year National Grid Foundation has supported the Catholic Charities, which has helped thousands of people in the great Capital Region.
