Murder raises questions over new state abortion law

New York State Democrats touted the recent passage of the Reproductive Health Act as a big win. But after a man murdered his pregnant girlfriend, killing the unborn child, some lawmakers are raising questions.

Republican Senator Jim Tedisco says there should be more protections for this kind of thing, but Democratic Senator Alessandra Biaggi says they already are in the penal code.

The Reproductive Health Act moved abortion laws from the penal code into the health law.
