State Police arrested a Moreau man after reports of a fight in Wilton.
At around 2:27 p.m. on Friday, State Police responded to a residence in the Town of Wilton for a report of a male who had just broken all the windows out of a vehicle with a hammer and was now fighting with several persons in the driveway of the residence.
When troopers arrived on scene, Steven L. Bickford, 36, was being detained by several people on scene.
When Troopers attempted to take Bickford into custody he continued to fight with troopers and others on scene.
He was ultimately taken into custody and transported to the State Police barracks in Wilton.
While at the barracks, Bickford continued to be uncooperative and refused to be processed or submit to a chemical test of his breath.
Bickford has been charged with Criminal Mischief 3rd, an E Felony, Driving While Intoxicated, 2 counts of Assault 3rd, Resisting Arrest, Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd, and Disorderly Conduct.
Bickford was arraigned in the Town of Moreau Court and remanded to Saratoga County Jail.
He is to appear in the Town of Wilton Court on a later date.
