More than a dozen bullets hit small town diner

Local

Over a dozen bullets were shot into a small town diner on Hwy 145.

According to the Albany County Sheriff’s Department, it happened Sunday night at Pop’s Place. Police believe the bullets were shot by a vehicle driving by.

The owners of the establishment took over the diner back in October. Although they are shocked at what happened they hope that police are able to find the person behind it.

“We are not going to let it keep us down. As long as the town people keep coming back and supporting us we will stay here,” said Heath Bartlett of Pop’s Place.
