SARATOGA, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A man accused in the stabbing death of 46-year-old Patrick Collins was found guilty on Thursday.
According to the Saratoga County Clerk’s Office, Albert Mercer, 62, was found guilty of first-degree manslaughter and evidence tampering. He was acquitted of second-degree murder.
Last July, police responded to a stabbing that took place outside Zephyr Lane during an altercation between Mercer and Collins.
Mercer and Collins knew each other prior to the altercation.
Mercer will be sentenced at the end of June.
