A local man was arrested after police say he was unable to control his German Shepard and it attacked an officer.

The incident happened Wednesday morning in Moreau.

According to police, David Duffany was violating an order of protection and police were called.

When officers arrived, Duffany refused to be arrested and, in the process, his dog got loose and attacked an officer.

Police say the dog jumped and bit the back of an officer.

Duffany was remanded to the Saratoga County Jail.
