New York State Police arrested a man they say was driving under the influence with three kids in the vehicle.
Police say they stopped Jason Pitanillo, 45, of Troy, N.Y., for a number of traffic violations on I-787.
At the time of the stop, police say he was traveling with children ages 2, 4, and 11.
Pitanillo was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle, endangering the welfare of a child, and multiple vehicle and traffic violations.
Police say he refused to submit a breath test to determine the alcohol content in his system.
Pitanillo was arraigned and was released on his own recognizance. He is due back in court next month.
The children were turned over to their grandmother.
