A Schenectady woman is facing several charges after police found her driving with 75 pounds of marijuana in her car.
According to state police, Amirah F. Barros, 24, was pulled over on the Thruway in the Village of Ravena 1:30 a.m. the morning of February 1.
While interviewing the driver, State Police established probable cause to search the vehicle. That’s when police say they found the drugs.
Barros was taken into custody, transported, and processed in Albany where she was subsequently charged with criminal ‘possession of marijuana 1st degree; a Class C Felony, obstructing governmental administration 2nd degree; a class A misdemeanor and vehicle and traffic violations.
