As Hurricane Florence, now a Category 4 storm, churns its way through the Atlantic, residents and emergency responders along the East Coast, including in the Capital Region, continue to prepare.

A team of volunteers from the Red Cross Eastern New York region left from the Albany Airport Tuesday morning, on their way south the help prepare and respond once the storm hits later in the week.

Hurricane Florence is still days away, but the massive storm is expected to impact both North and South Carolina and parts of Virginia.
