New York State Police arrested a man they say sexually abused several children in the Capital Region.

Police say an indictment was handed up against Brian Angelo, aka “DJ IROC”, 49, of Clifton Park, N.Y., on three counts of first-degree criminal sex act, four counts of first-degree sexual abuse, four counts of forcible touching, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Police say the victims were between eight and 14 years old.

Angelo was arraigned and remanded to Rensselaer County Jail without bail.

The case was investigated by the State Police in both Brunswick and Latham, the Colonie Police Department, the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s office, and the START Children’s Center in Rensselaer County.

Angelo could face up to 25 years in prison.

Angelo is a DJ at JAMZ 96.3. He has worked with many popular artists like Alicia Keys.

The general manager of 96.3 declined to comment on the charges. And as of Friday evening, Angelo’s biography was still on the website.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information on Angelo is asked to call the State Police in Brunswick at (518) 279-4427.
