WATERVLIET, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Schenectady couple says they missed their wedding, and are out more than $13,000, after a local limousine company failed to bring them to the airport on time.
The couple says they hired Today’s Limousine in Watervliet to bring 16 people to John F. Kennedy Airport in New York City for flights to their destination wedding in Ecuador. They say the party bus broke down in the middle of the highway about 20 minutes from the airport. The two say they were promised another vehicle would pick the group up, but that never happened.
The wedding party missed the flight and were unable to rebook for the large group. They say they were also charged for a ride from JFK back to Albany, which they never took.
This came weeks before a man says a different limousine from the same company got stuck in park while bringing his grandsons to the prom in Coxackie. He says that limo was also riding extremely low and had bald tires.
Both groups asked for refunds from Today’s Limousine but say they haven’t received any responses. NEWS10 ABC went to Today’s limousine for comment and were referred to the president and CEO. NEWS10 called and left messages, but as of Friday night, got no response.
