Local community and car dealership donate car to 94-year-old WWII veteran in need

A local community raised more than $5,000 for a 94-year-old World War II veteran to purchase a car.

John Miller’s 2005 Subaru had 180,000 miles on it, and his mechanic said it wasn’t worth it to fix it.

The volunteer firefighter needed the car to get around to visit shut-ins, go to the post office, and spend time with friends and family.

Paul Dubois, founder of Mountains to Miracles Veterans’ Foundation set up a GoFundMe page.

When Northway Toyota found out about the fundraiser, they decided to donate another $10,000 toward a 2015 Rav-4.
