A man who has been held in ICE custody for the past 6 weeks finally returned back home to the Capital Region on Wednesday.
Kinimo Ngoran was taken into custody after a routine check-in. He’s been in the Capital Region for several years after leaving his home in the Ivory Coast. A cook at the Capital City Rescue Mission, Ngoran had the community rally around him for his release.
Many, including Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple, say this story should be a call to action for immigration reform.
