New York State Police in Brunswick arrested Thomas Komasa, 54, of Kingston, for the Felony of Grand Larceny in the 4th after receiving a complaint from a property owner in the Town of Brunswick.

The investigation revealed Komasa agreed to rent an apartment and paid his deposit through an on-line website.

Komasa then stated he was no longer interested in renting the property and the property owner refunded Komasa deposit by check.

Once Komasa cashed his refund check he reversed his original on-line deposit back to him and refused to pay back his deposit.

The total value of the theft was $1,312.50.

Komasa was arrested by Troopers and issued an Appearance Ticket to the City of Troy Court on March 7, 2019.
